as a follow up to Sunbather, this hits all the right notes. I'd say it's more melodic, as opposed to the wall of sound style of Sunbather, so in a way it's even more accessible than that album. in any case, New Bermuda is a fantastic black metal experience.

Brilliant post-black metal, post-rock: the album has a lot of interesting tracks. The vocals (both clean and harsh) enhance the melancholic atmosphere. The music unlike many post-rock albums, is well-thought authentic collective with thoughtful and partly cryptic lyrics. My favorite track: Laniakea Dances (Soleils Couchants)
